BIBLE STUDY SERIES:

How does God want us to respond and what does God want us to do.

Matthew 22: 37-39 "thy shalt love the lord thy God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."

Knowing who we are to whom we belong has to first and foremost in our understanding of why God loves us. God has set the standard for love and that we are to love Him, ourselves and others. In order to love others, you must first love yourself as God loves you. And we are to love others as we love ourself. I can sometimes be hard to love those who are not like us, who do not believe God as we do, but we are to love then in spite of. We are even to love those who do not follow the ways of our Lord. God has made all of us in His image.

Do you love yourself?

How do we show love towards others?

Do you show love to others in the way that you show love to yourself?

Matthew 16:24 " If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me."

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in in Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths."

These scriptures encourage trusting in the Lord and acknowledging Him in all your ways. These verses highlight the transformative nature of surrender, emphasizing trust, obedience, and finding God's will.

What does surrender to God look like to you?

What does trusting God mean to you?

What does deny yourself look like to you?

Can you deny yourself and do things God's way?

Do you trust God to direct you in ALL of your ways?
